PAN’S LABYRINTH – PALE MAN BUST – ECC

Pan’s Labyrinth is a dark fantasy film written and directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. Set in Spain after the Spanish Civil War, the story follows Ofelia, a young girl struggling with her ailing mother and a country in turmoil.

Accompanied by three fairy guides, Ofelia is sent on her second task, venturing into the lair of the terrifying Pale Man, a child eating monster.
While in the lair Ofelia is tempted by a table filled with delicious food. Even though she was warned not to consume anything the starving girl eats two grapes, awakening the Pale Man. Ofelia escapes but two of her fairy guides are devoured by the Pale Man.

Creature suit actor extraordinaire Doug Jones plays both the Pale Man and The Faun in this moving tale of the human struggle. He captures the fear and pathos of both characters, his talents truly shining through his performance.
